The Arlington TIMES - Wednesday, Aug. 3, 1983 - 3 YES INDEED. the sun shone bright and hot on the Silvana Commumity Fair Saturday, bringing the crowds to see the county's smallest least.expensive and best country fair. Pictured above. Todd Legler exhibits his cow in the ring, while below. Dean Hyden of Snohomish watches closely as the judge checks over his sheep. The judge was impressed. CRAIG J AG ER, 10. found himself a popular occupatiorl -- handing tSnt free ~b:at~fis ..... for Cascade Valley Hospital. i~I, i~,, i~ 12, (above) came to ~n Silvana and found a to retrieve a (below) Susan won "best of show." ALL THE GAMES weren't just for the kids. The egg toss, for example, takes grown-up dexterity and Marge Southern and her father, Bob McGuire (in the foreground), both of Silvana, proved it by almost winning the exciting event. ~' ~ ~.!:~ AT THE RABBIT SHOWING, young Duane Warsinske (middle) was a standout merely by his size. Ranked only as an associate 4.H'er, the first grader might have been a little nerv0us at his first competition, but he didn't show it.
